As a (medior) IT support engineer your primary responsibility is to manage our IT applications, our office IT and interfacing to our external partners.
The ideal candidate will be a tech-savvy individual with good communication skills, ready to handle a broad variety of IT tasks and assist our IT manager in daily operations and improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the initial point of contact for IT-related queries
- Provide prompt assistance in diagnosing and resolving IT issues
- Manage accounts and access for employees and external partners
- Troubleshoot issues between internal- and external systems
- Collaborate on IT projects, such as the rollout of new applications and functionalities
- Support the implementation of cybersecurity measures

Unifiber is a management company dedicated to the design, planning, construction, operation, and maintenance of a cutting-edge fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) network across Wallonia. Founded in 2021 as a joint venture between Eurofiber and Proximus, Unifiber plays a key role in accelerating the region’s digital transition. Its objective is clear: to make 600,000 households and SMEs connectable to fibre by 2028, bringing ultra-fast, stable, and sustainable broadband to more than 60 cities and municipalities across Wallonia.
Over the coming decade, the company will invest nearly €1 billion to deploy 10,000 km of fibre optic infrastructure, providing the foundation for high-performance connectivity, smart city applications, and inclusive digital access for all. The open-access nature of the network ensures that any telecom operator can offer services to end users on a fair and non-discriminatory basis.

Competencies:
- Proven experience 3-5 years
- Fluent in French and English with good written and oral communication skills
- Quick learner, comfortable with modern tools

- Computer science-oriented education or technical background

The Operations team is responsible for designing, building, maintaining an open FTTx network in Wallonia and connecting end-users onto the network for operators that want to offer services over Unifiber’s fiber network.
We use a project & process-based methodology that enables us to work efficiently towards our ambitious goals.
The Operations team is responsible for the day-to-day activities and processes of the business. Its main role is to ensure that the company’s operations are running efficiently and effectively, and that the business is meeting its goals and objectives.
